Magnotherapy

Magnotherapy is the application of a magnetic field to a living body to assist healing. Magnotherapy is not new, it has been used for hundreds of years to help relieve pains and accelerate the natural healing process. In recent times magnotherapy has become more popular for three reasons,

1.    the non-invasive nature and relatively low cost of magnotherapy treatments.
2.    the interest in complimentary remedies for conditions that conventional medicine does not always help, and
3.    the improvements in magnet technology.

The Effects of Magnotherapy

Magnotherapy Treatments

There are three different ways of applying magnotherapy for people and animals using magnetic devices.

1. The standard approach is to use magnetic modules over pulse points using bracelets, collars and cuffs, treating the blood as it flows under the module.

2. A cluster of modules made up into a small pad can be applied to various parts of the body using elastic bandages and belts. Larger magnetic pads can be used on chairs and beds.

Bioflow Magnotherapy uses Central Reverse Polarity, CRP, magnetic modules. These are bi-polar magnets, in other words both north & south poles are used for healing. The centre of our magnetic modules is the reverse polarity from the outside, thus Central Reverse Polarity.

So as the blood flows under the skin past the module, it first sees a north pole, then a south pole, then a north again.

It is this rapid change in field that we believe makes our magnetic modules so effective. It's estimated to be the equivalent of an 8hz pulsing field acting on the blood as it flows through the wrist. So we combine the best features of both static magnets and pulsed electromagnets.
